Background

Stan Wagon, Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Macalester College, is one of the foremost users of Mathematica in education, having written many papers and books, including Animating Calculus: Mathematica Notebooks for the Laboratory, Mathematica in Action (now in four languages), and VisualDSolve: Visualizing Differential Equations with Mathematica (many of which are now available in the Wolfram Research Online Bookstore).

Stan has taught many Mathematica courses and in July teaches a course with Ed Packel called "Rocky Mountain Mathematica" in the mountains of Colorado. A typical testimonial is: "The course proved an excellent source of practical information about how to make more effective use of Mathematica's capabilities. I have the feeling I'll be consulting the class notes and materials for a long time to come" (Dan Callon, Franklin College, Indiana).

Consulting Information

Stan Wagon has used Mathematica since 1989 and has been a Mathematica consultant since 1991.
