Mathematica Consultant: Holger Perlt
Holger Perlt provides consultancy in the fields of applied and theoretical
physics and operations research. He has 10 years of experience with Mathematica
and has been a member of the advanced developer program at Wolfram Research.
Together with Jochen Kripfganz, he wrote the book Arbeiten mit Mathematica, which
serves as an introduction into work with Mathematica.
Holger Perlt has given several lectures on general relativity based on interactive
Mathematica notebooks. Since 1997 he has turned his interests to modern methods of
optimization. In 1999 Jochen Kripfganz and Holger Perlt developed "Operations Research,"
a third-party Mathematica package that provides the user several
routines in linear programming and combinatorial optimization.
After receiving his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Leipzig
in the German Democratic Republic in 1982, Holger Perlt worked in the field of
theoretical particle physics. Together with former colleagues, he founded
SoftAS GmbH in 1991. This company provides general management consulting and
also specialized Mathematica consulting.
In 1998 Jochen Kripfganz and Holger Perlt founded
Reinforcement Control GmbH. This company specializes in the development of
modern control algorithms and software based on reinforcement learning.
Holger Perlt is co-president of both SoftAS GmbH and Reinforcement Control GmbH.
